Bug with crafting when using controller

Hi to start with can I say how amazing Nukkit is. I just discovered it the other day and am enjoying playing Minecraft bedrock with my children on our family server.

I am running 1.13 server on a raspberry pi4. when crafting using a controller newly crafted items disappear after they have been crafted. If I craft using the touch interface we never see the issue?

has anyone in the community have any ideas?

Reading in the forum, I see this is a known issue. The workaround is not to use the crafting book.

I play using an iPhone, and using touch for crafting with the crafting book works as well
